MyCareTaker

Terms of Service

Last Updated: July 7, 2025

1. The Service

MyCareTaker provides a telehealth platform that connects users with doctors and caregivers for online consultations, appointment booking, and management of health records. The Service is accessible via our website at https://mycaretaker.vercel.app. By using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

2. User Accounts

To access most features of the Service, you must register for an account. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during the registration process. You are responsible for safeguarding your password and for all activities that occur under your account. New user sign-ups with an email and password will require email verification.

3. User Roles and Responsibilities

Patients

As a patient, you can book appointments, consult with healthcare providers, view your medical history, and upload health records. You are responsible for providing accurate health information.

Doctors & Caregivers

As a healthcare provider, you are responsible for the quality of the medical advice and care you provide. You must maintain valid licensing and adhere to professional standards.

Admin

Administrators manage the platform, including users, services, and payment settings.

4. Payments

Fees for services are due at the time of booking. We use Razorpay for processing payments. Alternatively, payment can be made by scanning a QR code provided on the platform, depending on the active payment method set by the administrator. All payment information is handled securely by our payment processors.

5. Medical Disclaimers

MyCareTaker is a platform for connecting with healthcare providers and is not a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Always seek the advice of your physician or other qualified health provider with any questions you may have regarding a medical condition. NEVER DISREGARD PROFESSIONAL MEDICAL ADVICE OR DELAY IN SEEKING IT BECAUSE OF SOMETHING YOU HAVE READ ON THE MY CARETAKER PLATFORM.

6. User Content and Health Records

You retain ownership of any health records or other content you upload ("User Content"). By uploading User Content, you grant us a license to use, store, and process this content to provide the Service. We use Cloudinary for secure file storage.

7. Telehealth Services

Video consultations are powered by LiveKit. You consent to the use of video and audio services for your appointments. The quality of the telehealth service depends on your internet connection and device capabilities.

8. Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to use the Service for any unlawful purpose or to engage in any activity that would violate these Terms, including but not limited to: impersonating any person or entity, stalking or harassing others, or uploading malicious code.

9. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your account and access to the Service at our sole discretion, without prior notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms or is harmful to other users of the Service, us, or third parties, or for any other reason.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, in no event will My Caretaker, its affiliates, officers, employees, agents, suppliers or licensors be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, punitive, cover or consequential damages.

11. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. If we make changes, we will post the revised terms on the Site and update the "Last Updated" date. Your continued use of the Service will confirm your acceptance of the revised Terms.
